JFE Signature Service
OT Signatures for AFU JFE Forms
Why did we create this service?
Our JFE Signature Service ensures that no child or family is left without the support they need for their JFE form(s) due to timing, geographical, or systemic barriers.
Our JFE Signature Service emerges as a solution to several challenges:
Late-identified teens on the verge of aging out of AFU coverage who need a signature ASAP
Families in remote or marginalized communities with limited access to OT services
Long waitlists that delay access to an OT provider
Families seeking equipment approval without a desire for ongoing OT services
Families seeking equipment approval without undergoing an OT clinic's mandatory full assessment process for new clients.
Neurodivergent parents with executive functioning support needs that impact form completion or form submission.
What this service is not:
It's important to note that our JFE Signature Service is designed to complement, not replace, traditional OT services. Our service is tailored for families who have identified their equipment and supply needs and are seeking professional endorsement for AFU reimbursement. For those requiring assistance in identifying suitable equipment and supplies, we recommend seeking ongoing or packaged OT services — you can book a Discovery Call with us!

FAQs
-
Absolutely! Our signing fee covers your entire submission, even if you're submitting multiple items that need to be documented on different forms. Rest assured, there are no additional charges for this.
-
Certainly! We have a RASP clinician available for signatures on this service. We currently do not offer ongoing Occupational Therapy (OT) services for kids under 6.
-
Our fees help make sure that our Occupational Therapists (OTs) are fairly compensated for the important work they do, including the detailed documentation needed to meet the professional standards for these services.

Encountering rejections is a normal part of the JFE submission process, often resulting from stringent funding criteria or the specifics of how requests are worded. The AFU's decisions can vary, as interpretations hinge on the adjudicator's perspective—some may find the wording too specific, others too general. Despite leveraging our vast experience and a comprehensive database of prior submissions, approval remains unpredictable. Here's our approach to rejections:
Sign + Assist Tier: we'll adjust and resubmit your denied items at no extra charge upon your request, unless the rejection stems from non-negotiable AFU funding policies, like annual limits or equipment eligibility.
Our expertise is at your service to skillfully address these challenges, though we can't guarantee approval. We're committed to supporting your success through the intricacies of the JFE process.
Sign Only Tier: navigating AFU's complexities is in your hands. Should rejections occur, you have the option to appeal directly to the AFU or revise for a future submission. -
There's no set limit to how many items you can request. The AFU individually assesses each item without any assumptions about your purchase decisions, allowing you the flexibility to choose which approved items to buy. We do encourage you to make the most of this service by requesting several items, aiming to maximize value. However, please be mindful that reviewing or creating goals for a very high number of items, requires significant OT time beyond the usual scope. Currently, we offer this service in good faith without item caps, but we may need to introduce limits if this flexibility is excessively utilized. For extensive requests that necessitate extra OT time, we'll discuss any additional fees with you upfront.
